I was going through a difficult time in my life when my roommate, who was travelling solo in Italy, convinced me to come join her. I booked a flight, packed a bag, and met her in Venice a few days later. We ended up in Burano — a little island full of colour, sunshine, and charm. Somewhere between the painted houses and the warm light, I started to feel like myself again and knew everything would be okay. I’m grateful for this memory and for the friend who shared it with me, so I wanted to bring it to life.
