I was going through a difficult time when my roommate and friend called to check in. She was on a solo trip in Italy. When she heard how I was doing, her response was simple — just come. I booked a flight, packed a bag and met her in Venice a few days later. We ended up in Burano, a little island of amazing colours just outside the city, and somewhere between the painted houses and the sunshine I started to feel like myself again. I named this print after the friend who showed up when it really mattered.
